Missions

“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:19-20

Bible Church of Brownsburg seeks to bring glory and honor to God by proactively providing resources to advance the Gospel to people and places where it is not known by providing spiritual, relational, and developmental support locally and to the ends of the Earth.

We seek to proactively support local, national, and global ministries that focus on spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ through church planting and training of local church leaders that are like-minded to our Statement of Faith. We believe that everyone at Bible Church of Brownsburg has a role to play in missions because everyone has been gifted by God. Our support includes:

Bible Church of Brownsburg utilizes a holistic approach to minister the love of God by meeting the needs of the spiritually, relationally, and developmentally poor by proactively seeking long-term opportunities to develop churches, communities, and enterprises to assist those who have the greatest need and the least opportunity to hear the Gospel. We strive to accomplish this through the following model:

  1. Discipleship: Making obedient disciples of Jesus Christ (Matt. 28:19)
  2. Prayer: The foundation of our mission efforts (Luke 18:1, 1 Thes. 5:17)
  3. Evangelism: Having a heart for the lost and a desire to share the Gospel with those who have not heard it (Luke 24:46-47)
  4. Participation from the Body: Develop a passion for missions and a desire to reach the lost within our local church body
  5. Homegrown Laborers: By developing a passion for missions within the BCB body, we will look to God to raise up laborers from within our body
  6. Church Planting: Establish and equip local churches that will nourish the spiritual and relational growth of converts and disciples (Acts 14:23, 15:41)
  7. Development Work: Demonstrate the Gospel and live out Christ by:
    • Developing community projects, infrastructure, and micro-finance enterprises
    • Providing education, trade, and life skills
    • Development work will have a long-term focus and will be agreed to by the individual participants prior to it beginning. (1 Cor. 9:22-23, 2 Cor. 9:6-15, Heb. 10:23-24)
  8. Training Nationals: Commitment to the development of national leadership within both the church and the community

Repeatability: Create a self-replicating model where people assist those within their same people group. The output of the model should be prayer, evangelism, and discipleship at the local level.
